Welcome To The Church of the Messiah So, Who Are We? We are a mission of the Episcopal
Protestant Church of America and part of the Diocese of Virginia. Though we
are part of the oldest church in the United States, we are the youngest
Episcopal church in Spotsylvania County (15 years old). The median age of our
congregation is thirty-two. We are young families, singles, empty-nesters and
are racially diverse. Our Mission Our mission simple: “to make
disciples for Christ by being his witnesses.” We are seeking to fulfill this by reaching out to anyone
in our community who does not know the love of Jesus Christ and by helping
our members grow as his faithful followers. Please notice the various ministries and missions listed
on the website. Our Worship Style Our music is lead by a Praise Team
comprised of excellent vocalists and musicians. We celebrate the best of
today's contemporary praise music with classic gospels and hymns. Holy
Communion is at the heart of our worship and we observe it at both services
each Sunday. Sermons are Biblically based, relevant to daily life, and
encourage us to live as followers of Jesus Christ by God's Grace. Our Primary Beliefs The Holy Scriptures of the Old and
New Testaments are the Word of God and contain all things necessary for
salvation. There are two sacraments ordained by Christ - Holy Baptism and the
Lord's Supper. The Historic Creeds are the statements of our basic beliefs.
